A Royal Wedding!
Traci and Paul are a sweet couple from England who came here to Niagara to get married at The Sheraton Fallsview. The Royal influence on fashion is really neat to see. Traci’s dress was so completely different. Burgandy velvet bodice and  gold Lame skirt. It was very regal looking! I loved it! We didn’t have alot of time for photos and no one had vehicles so we walked down the street on Fallsview avenue and used the old Loretto building as a backdrop! Such a perfect backdrop! It looked like a castle perfect for a Princess!
Niagara Weddings in the Rain!
I’m getting used to it now! Every day it rains…..every saturday it rains….just sometimes it rains more than others! Some days it rains ALL day…..some days it rains every 20 minutes! Sometimes it is hurricane force winds to ruin everything and some days it sprinkles on and off…..some weddings get thru the outdoor ceremony , then the skies open up and everyone runs…..some weddings the ceremony is ok and then it rains at the park for photos!! I got the hang of it now….always bring a BIG umbrella….always have a raincoat handy….always hope thousands of dollars of equipment doesn’t get ruined!!! Every bride suddenly turning relegious on friday nights and praying it doesn’t rain AGAIN!……Hanging roseries on bushes on the front lawns apparently! — NOT working this year! Geesh….if I hear one more person say how lush and green everything is , I am going to scream! I don’t care if the grass is yellow! Yellow is a rather a nice color! I don’t mind paying more for my fruit- just Puhlease STOP raining!!! Next wedding I may need to bring a boat!!!
Cool Dove release
I did a weddng and all of the wedding party held a dove for the release. First wedding I had done like that!. Usually just the bride and groom release a dove. It was really cool! Great it turned out to be a sunny day too. We found out later that one of the doves didn’t make it back with the others! Poor little guy hung around the chapel for days apparently. So the Dove owner sent another dove out to go and get him and they both came back together! I was so impressed to hear that! How do these little guys know how to get home? I get lost in the Penn Centre shopping mall sometimes!
