    Teen photos

Teenagers are always hard to wrangle up to get them in for portraits.  They are just too busy! So much on the go , with sports and lessons, school and friends….Jackie wanted some photos of her 2 kids, and finally managed to get them in!  I asked if they could bring whatever they are involved with!  Erik does Judo and Rachel plays the violin, so we did some creative shots of them which they enjoyed! Thanks for coming in guys!

Can’t see the forest for the trees!

Can’t see the forest for the trees!

img_9904.jpgI am the luckiest person in the world!  I have a wonderful husband and 2 amazing children and I love the house that we built together.  The trees around our property are so tall and I try never to take them for granted.  They are 100-200 years old. We had to cut down a HUGE willow tree before we could pour the foundation. It was dying and had to come down before it fell down but it still broke our hearts.  We counted all the rings  around the inside of the stump to questimate how old the tree was.  This big old willow was at least 200 years old!  I often say , if only they could talk. What stories they could have to tell about the people who have come and gone throughout the years.  Sometimes I sit on the deck and marvel about how majestic they are.  I feel as though I am a part of history living amongst them . I especially love the evergreens because during the drab winter we still have some color around here and these trees are so pretty when it snows.   Long after I’m gone I’m sure they will still be here, and another generation will be enjoying them.

Try walking a mile in these shoes!

Try walking a mile in these shoes!

I was going through my files doing some organizing and came to a realization that 2 brides this summer had the exact same shoes!  I absolutely love these shoes.  They are shiny, sexy, and a really neat color, but I know I could never walk in them.  Funny thing is one bride bought hers in Ireland – she came to Niagara on the Lake for a destination wedding and the other bride bought her shoes here in Niagara!  Some people can just walk in high heels and look great!  Both of these brides were shining examples of making it look easy.  Neither complained of aching feet and both walked around in the grass without getting their heels stuck in the ground like golf tees!  I was very impressed!

    Wallace Family

WOW…40 immediate family members!  This brave mom and dad had 10 children and to date the number is 40 and growing!! They rent a firehall every year for their x-mas get together.  I have a hard time getting supper together for 2, 3 or 4 of us every day, I just can’t imagine dinner for 12 every day!   What a great group of people!  Thank-you guys for letting me document the 2010 portrait  for you!

Zander and Holden in the Snow forest!

Zander and Holden have been coming in every for Easter portraits with the bunnies!  I photographed their parents wedding quite a few years ago.  I love the matching sweaters and hats!  Again, I can’t believe how fast kids can grow, how fast time flies, and how much I enjoy seeing the children of wedding customers!  It is so great! I have the best job in the world!  Thank-you Aniko!img_0061.jpg
