Had a great time today doing a photo shoot for Jane and Tony Roy!  Nice bikes!  We tried a couple of different locations. Jane had found this really neat old barn by the lake that was just perfect!  I loved it!  (Very happy it did not rain!! )

Still doing these glamour shots! They are so much fun! Every one has their own ideas of what they would like to do. Everyone has different outfits. I think these are so very cool to do with your special guy’s team sweater. Very sexy!  So great to get your hair done and make up . Feel like a star for a day! It is a great pick me up during the winter and that is how these sessions started, but I do them all year round now!  They make really great birthday gifts!  I run into the boyfriends and husbands from time to time , who will pull me aside and whisper ” I like what you did with my wife ” lol…

When I had my children ( 18 and 14 years ago!) I was all about hiding my big fat stomach!  I didn’t want to show it to anyone.  Not that I was ashamed,  but I didn’t really want my photo taken!  How sorry I am now.  I think it is so wonderful to have a wall portrait of the mother carrying the baby, as Home decor in the Baby’s room!  Studies have shown that family portraits hanging in the home contribute to childrens’ healthy self-esteem.  These photos say “You are important to us”.  As the child grows up and learns to understand where they came from- how cool for them to see a portrait proudly hanging of them when they were inside mommy’s tummy.  The family in the photos shown here, brought their 1st child with them for these portraits and then came back with the newborn to start their ‘Watch me Grow’ series of portraits.  I just love getting to see these babies every 3 months and watch the changes.  It reminds me of when mine were little and it is so heart-warming for me!  My kids are so big now and one might be almost out the door for college or Univ. soon.  Life is so short and it really does go by so quickly! 

Little girls are the best!   I love how much they love being a part of a wedding day. It is so sweet. They feel like princesses, so excited, so cute!  makes me miss my daughter when she was little. That unbridled enthusiasum is wonderful. It goes so fast!  I always said I wish I could bottle little girls giggles and open it up anytime I am feeling down! 

I’m getting used to it now!  Every day it rains…..every saturday it rains….just sometimes it rains more than others!  Some days it rains ALL day…..some days it rains every 20 minutes!  Sometimes it is hurricane force winds to ruin everything and some days it sprinkles on and off…..some weddings get thru the outdoor ceremony , then the skies open up and everyone runs…..some weddings the ceremony is ok and then it rains at the park for photos!!  I got the hang of it now….always bring a BIG umbrella….always have a raincoat handy….always hope thousands of dollars of equipment doesn’t get ruined!!!  Every bride suddenly turning relegious on friday nights and praying it doesn’t rain AGAIN!……Hanging roseries on bushes on the front lawns apparently!  — NOT working this year!  Geesh….if I hear one more person say how lush and green everything is , I am going to scream!  I don’t care if the grass is yellow! Yellow is a rather a nice color!  I don’t mind paying more for my fruit- just Puhlease  STOP raining!!!  Next wedding I may need to bring a boat!!!

Such a beautiful spot for a wedding!  The Grand Victorian Inn in Niagara on the Lake has so much charm, and history.  The house is so majestic.  It makes one feel that we are part of something so special just being there. Can’t imagine that people lived in houses so large! Room after room and floor after floor of history!  Eva has done an amazing job decorating it inside and out.  Jen and Rod were so lucky to have such a perfect day.   Jen is so spontaneous and we had alot of fun! and quess what!!!  It actually did NOT rain!!!

   I did a wedding in June and the bride had brought on the bus bags of rose petals that we used throughout the day. It was really fun!  What a cool idea!  Laura bought them at a craft store. I will suggest this to other brides too!

I just love when I get to see the new babies of the couples whose wedding I did! Michelle and Rob got married last July and already have a beautiful little boy!  What a busy year it has been for them, and what a cutey pie their little guy is! The most beautiful big blue eyes!

I just love doing these casual style family portraits.  We always start out with the traditional posed group shot and then do the fun stuff!  This one of the boys fishing, would be my favourate to have on my wall.  Home Decor!  Decorate your home with yourself!   ( They didn’t catch anything by the way!- but had fun trying!)
